Indiegogo is the biggest player in the crowdfunding industry along with Kickstarter, and both of them share enormous revenues coming from the project funded through their website. As we talked about in the last article featuring the 10 most funded Kickstarter crowdfunding, we know that Kickstarter is the most known crowdfunding platform, featuring 208.592 projects successfully funded, and more than $6.120.396.556 offered to back Kickstarater campaigns.

Indiegogo though has always been a big player in this industry featuring more than 800.000 campaigns lots of them crossing the $1 Million mark, and with an active community of 9 million backers.

As you can see Indiegogo has a huge market especially for what concerns tech products and a big market regarding e-bikes, and the projects we're going to see today are coming from that categories.

The winner of the most-backed Indiegogo project is Mate X, a low-cost foldable e-bike that raised $17.7 Million with more than 22.000 backers! This e-bike is an improvement of the first Mate bike launched in 2016.

The coolest thing about Mate X e-bike is that it's sold at the lowest market price, it's foldable and it also features a display that provides info on mileage, speed, battery, and other personalized options. What really got people into backing it, is that thanks to its small size when folded, it can be brought along anywhere without occupying major space. Such a cool feature, right?

2. FLOW HIVE

I'm sure you all like honey, right? But not as much as the creators of the Flow Hive that managed to raise $14.9 million on their campaign, placing themselves as the second most funded Indiegogo crowdfunding. What's cool about this innovation is beekeeping made easy!

Harvesting honey has always been a complicated process, not suitable for everyone, but Flow Hive eliminates a lot of hard work such as smoking the bees, carrying the heavy frames around and removing wax caps. With this innovative system you will simply add a tap into the hive and harvest honey directly into jars. The coolest thing about this campaign is that it was aimed at everyone from beginners to experts, to make the process of harvesting honey easy and respectful for the bees. Good job!

3. THE BABYMAKER

Another e-bike another success, The Babymaker raised $13.7 millions with more than 9.800 passionate backers! The coolest thing about this successful bike is that this one-of-a-kind eBike combines the best features of both traditional bicycles and electric bikes. Say goodbye to awkward cables and ditch the bulky batteries, this e-bike is super lightweight and has a concealed battery! The best bike for who doesn't want to compromise style and comfort.

4. UBUNTU EDGE

Ubuntu Edge is a smartphone that uses Ubuntu Touch Software as well as Android and it managed to raise $12.7 million from more than 27k backers!

We're talking about a small, high-tech phone that brings innovation into the tech world, the phone’s ability to connect to any monitor and transform itself into a fully integrated desktop OS. The Ubuntu Edge is meant to be a superphone, created to drive the next generation of personal computing.

Problem was that after raising millions of dollars the Ubuntu Edge phone never materialized, so backers got their money back, turning this successful campaign into an epic fail!

5. SUPERSTRATA BIKE

Superstrata Bike is another cool e-bike at the top of our Indiegogo most funded campaigns that raised more than $7 millions. What's interesting about this bike is that it is the world's first 3D-printed custom unibody carbon fiber composite bike, just like it states in the crowdfunding campaign. There are also carbon fiber wheels 3D-printed to fit the bike. It also weights only 1.3 kg and it's totally costumizable. A new technology and a step forward to the future of the bikes.

6. LOMI

Don't waste your organic waste, thanks to Lomi and its composter machine made a great change for a sustainable world raising more than $7 millions is now about to deliver their product!

This little machine trasforms food waste with just the push of a button in a natural source of soil nutrients that increase the organic content of soil, helping boost plant growth and soil enrichment. Lomi twice a week can reduce waste footprint by 50% and its customers have already made an enormous environmental impact.

7. ZE TIME

The smartwatch market never ceases to stop and it's growing day by day, especially on crowdfunding platforms, that's why Ze Time raised more than $6.5 million for its smartwatch. But what makes this smartwatch different from all the rest of the already existing projects?

The Ze Time stands out because it blends the classic design of a traditional watch with the advanced features of a modern smartwatch, and the real cool thing of the Ze Time is the fact that it can be used for 30 days without charge! Also, it comes with all the essential functionalities of a regular smartwatch such as heart rate monitoring, integration with chat apps, missed call notifications, weather notifications and more... Plus its design comes from Switzerland, famous land of watch-makers!

8. SONDORS

Yes, another electric bike and another Indiegogo success. Sondors managed to raise more than $6 million with his innovative electric bike. Electric bikes are an affordable way to go through big cities that regularly deal with traffic jams and other stuff, so for sure they don't have to be this fancy, but what Sondors did is add something more.

This e-bike other than having a catchy design also has all-terrain tires, can reach the top speed of 20mph and has an autonomy of 50 miles with a single charge. Also it is sold at a cheap price, maybe one of the cheapest e-bikes out there! So it’s little surprise that Sondors found success, but no one expected it to exceed its goal by 7,000 percent.

9. PAMU SLIDE

This may be one of the Indiegogo' sensations! The Pamu Slide really made a change in the wireless earphones industry and it was the biggest earphones crowdfunding ever made on Indiegogo raising more than $5 million on their campaign and other $5 million with their Indemand campaign from 140k happy customers!

Whats' so special about these earphones is that other than having an amazing sound quality, they never FALL OUT, it could be so frustrating when you're jamming to your favorite song and the earphones keep falling out, right? Well, also NBA players certify that they don't fall, even whenever they're training listening to music!

10. RESTORE KING CHAPEL

Could you believe me if I told you that this chapel contributed to the 10 most funded Indiegogo campaigns? Even if we're not talking about tech or e-bikes this philanthropic project managed to raise more than $5 million, that's because we're talking about the King Chapel, the international chapel dedicated to the memory of Marting Luther King Jr. placed in Atlanta.

More than 280 backers donated money to fix the chapel, which sits on the campus of Morehouse College and is named after the school’s most famous graduate. The chapel needed a new roof, new seating and more issues. Though the campaign didn't reach its $8 million goal, the money raised has helped start renovations.
